Retired but Active encourages all its members to contribute their own material to make the site vibrant and alive.
Unfortunately, whilst most of the world, and particularly the over-50 population, is honest and straightforward, a minority is not.

To allow for this we have to make and enforce a code of conduct on everyone. We all have to pay the price for our freedoms.

By submitting material to Retired but Active you accept that:

Retired but Active has the absolute right, in its sole discretion, to reject or remove any posting by you, or to deny you access to any part of the Retired but Active without prior notice or explanation, and without liability.

You indemnify Retired but Active, its owners, officers and other contributors, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of any Content that you post on Retired but Active causes Retired but Active to be liable to another.

You are solely responsible for the Content that you post on Retired but Active Sites and accept that Retired but Active has no responsibility to display, store or preserve your material.

You accept that placing material on Retired but Active you are putting it into the public domain where it may be copied and reproduced elsewhere. You herby indemnify Retired but Active from any claim by you or others in the event of theft.

Right to publish

Material posted on Retired but Active remains your property but by posting material to the Retired but Active Site you grant Retired but Active a limited license to use, modify, delete from, add to, and publicly display such Content solely on the Retired but Active Sites

After posting to Retired but Active you remain free to license your Content to anyone else in addition to Retired but Active, but Retired but Active is not required to pay you or a third party for the use of that material on Retired but Active sites.

Ownership

By posting material to Retired but Active you confirm that you own, or have the right to post, your Content on the Retired but Active Sites and that publication the Retired but Active Sites does not violate any applicable laws, and that you agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing to any person or entity by reason of any Content posted by you on.

Prohibitions

Material that

1. solicits personal information from anyone under 18,
2. is false or misleading, promotes illegal activities or conduct, is abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory or libellous,
3. is offensive and promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual,
4. harasses another person or provides information that permits another to harass anyone,
5. exploits people in any way, contains nudity or offensive subject matter or contains a link to an adult website,
6. contains an unauthorized copy of another person's copyrighted work,
7. or links designed to circumvent copy-protection devices, or provide pirated material of any kind or involves the transmission of junk mail or spam,
8. in any way violates the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, trademark rights, contract rights or any other rights of any person,

Must never be posted to Retired but Active Sites.

Retired but Active’s Rights

Retired but Active may refuse to post or delete any content that might be offensive, illegal or violate the rights of any person, or harm or threaten the safety of any person.

Retired but Active reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in Retired but Active's sole discretion, violates this provision.

Commercial Content

The Retired but Active Site is for the personal use of Members and may not be used for promotional or commercial endeavours unless specifically endorsed or authorized by Retired but Active.

Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other unauthorized commercial material will be removed from the site without notice or explanation and may result in termination your Membership.
