There's a lot of people at the gym in our age range

...and perhaps I'm unduly cynical

...but I wonder about the motivation of some of us!

Some of us are clearly worried about our waist lines and are watching them like a hawk

Others only watch the girls and - shall we say - the dynamic aspects of their excercises

Some are clearly there for the social contact and spend most of their time in the sitting area drinking the free coffee and reading the free papers.

Some are simply escaping from the house and the spouse.

Oscar Wilde who was too clever for this world said

A cynic is a man who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

..and I thought that was an accountant
